The result of a close collaboration between master-guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and Washburn, the American-made Nele Deluxe takes a classic T-style build and piles on some impressive sonic and visual extras. The body comes topped with a figured maple cap and fitted with a birdeye maple neck, setting off the deluxe gilded hardware and polishing off the deluxe aesthetic. The body has been carved from a slice of solid swamp ash, which is both lightweight and resonant, supporting a lightly scooped acoustic tone and masses of sustain. Every example of the Nele Deluxe is built with love and care in the Washburn Custom Shop in America and comes complete with a deluxe case.

The Washburn Nele Deluxe: Adaptable Tone

Nuno has hand-selected a Bill Lawrence L-250 pickup for the bridge position, which seamlessly blends the dynamics of a single-coil with the warmth of a humbucker. The Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack at the neck completes the two-pack, adding plenty of punch to the mix - especially when compared to the output of standard single-coils. Another sweet bonus is the unique six-way Freeway Ultra pickup switch which, next to the standard three positions stacks up another three extra settings to double the fun and complete ultra-adaptable tone.
